Job Summary

To support AI-driven projects, the remote Expert Egyptian Arabic Transcriber will convert audio recordings of native speakers into precise written transcripts, ensuring accuracy in dialectal nuances and speaker attribution.

Key responsibilities

• Transcribe audio recordings into accurate, time-aligned written text following project-specific style guides
• Apply conventions for speaker identification, disfluencies, and non-speech events while making orthographic decisions
• Self-review submissions against quality standards and engage with QA reviewers on edge cases

Required qualifications

• Native fluency in Egyptian Arabic with lifelong residence or deep immersion in Egypt
• Fluent reading and writing in Modern Standard Arabic for orthographic decisions
• Strong working knowledge of Cairene and Delta Egyptian variations
• At least two years of professional transcription, captioning, or linguistic annotation experience
• Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet workspace for optimal performance
