Expert Vulnerability Management Engineer
Job Summary
Working remotely on a contract basis, the Expert Vulnerability Management Engineer will investigate and validate vulnerabilities, perform technical analyses, and coordinate remediation efforts across various technical teams over a 4-month period.
Key responsibilities
- Investigate and validate vulnerabilities identified through enterprise vulnerability scanning platforms
- Perform technical analysis to assess the validity and relevance of vulnerabilities in the affected environment
- Research CVEs and vendor advisories to accurately assess vulnerability risk and coordinate remediation efforts
Required qualifications
- Expert-level experience with vulnerabilities, including CVEs, CVSS, and remediation techniques
- Strong technical understanding of enterprise infrastructure, including operating systems and networking
- Experience with enterprise vulnerability scanning and management platforms such as Rapid7 InsightVM or Qualys VM
- Ability to research and interpret vendor security advisories and technical data related to vulnerabilities
- Experience coordinating vulnerability remediation with various technical engineering teams
