External Communications Specialist

Job Summary

Seeking a strategic and skilled External Communications Specialist, the full-time remote position will develop, write, and edit various external communication materials while managing a LinkedIn program for executives to enhance brand visibility and engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, write, and edit external communication materials such as press releases, media pitches, and executive speeches
• Manage and execute a LinkedIn program for executives, crafting posts that reflect an authentic executive voice
• Support media relations efforts by creating proposals and press kits that communicate organizational priorities effectively

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in communication, journalism, public relations, or a related field
• 2 to 5 years of experience in public relations, corporate communications, or journalism
• Proven experience in writing for LinkedIn and other social platforms, with a strong understanding of audience engagement strategies
• Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills, with the ability to tailor content for diverse audiences
• Familiarity with media relations and best practices in public relations
