External Engagement Lead

Job Summary

Partnering with Google's Data Center Economic and Community Development team, the full-time External Engagement Lead will develop and execute comprehensive communications strategies to amplify internal and external narratives, manage executive social media presence, and ensure alignment with high-level stakeholders while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute communications plans for major milestones, including press releases and media strategies
• Refine the voice of leaders by creating content calendars and managing toolkits for internal stakeholders
• Identify thought leadership opportunities and draft content to position Google as an industry leader

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in communications and messaging strategy
• Proven track record in managing multi-channel social media campaigns
• Experience working with senior leadership and high-level stakeholders
• Ability to translate complex data into relatable stories for diverse audiences
• Expertise in directing external creative and PR agencies effectively
