Job Summary

Leading external partnerships in small molecule drug discovery, the full-time remote External Research Director will manage search and evaluation processes, negotiate transactions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with broader business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Lead search and evaluation for external partnerships, focusing on drug discovery and oncology technologies
• Manage technical evaluations and cross-functional review teams to provide recommendations based on scientific knowledge
• Engage in business negotiations and collaborate with legal teams to execute contractual agreements for projects

Required qualifications

• Doctorate degree in a scientific field with 4 years of experience in drug development or biopharma business development, or equivalent experience with a Master's or Bachelor's degree
• Strong knowledge in discovery and technology platforms
• 4+ years of management or leadership experience in business and drug development activities
• Proven ability to create and establish relationships with internal and external parties
• Demonstrated capacity to manage large cross-functional teams and mentor individuals
