Job Summary
To lead the certification and airworthiness teams, the full-time FAA Certified Airworthiness Manager will manage civil certification strategies, oversee military airworthiness and cyber certification efforts, and serve as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities, all while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Support civil certification strategy with the FAA and foreign authorities, serving as the primary technical authority
- Manage new civil certification projects, including compliance strategies and risk assessments
- Lead and grow the Military Airworthiness and Cyber Certification teams, establishing core processes and mentoring staff
Required qualifications:
- Direct experience achieving FAA Part 23 and/or Part 25 type certificates and foreign validation experience
- Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 12+ years of aerospace certification experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role
- Proven ability to lead certification efforts for complex aircraft technologies interfacing with regulatory authorities
- Strong working knowledge of relevant airworthiness standards and cybersecurity frameworks
