Job Summary

Seeking a part-time FAA Certified Drone Instructor, the role focuses on teaching the Unmanned Aircraft Certification course remotely, preparing students for the FAA Remote Pilot certification through comprehensive instruction on regulations, airspace, and operational requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging online instruction in the Drones and Autonomous Systems program, specifically for the Unmanned Aircraft Certification course
• Provide constructive feedback and support to students, fostering collaboration and active learning
• Maintain current subject-matter expertise and contribute to potential curricular improvements

Required qualifications

• Master's degree in Homeland Security, Intelligence, Emergency Management, Criminal Justice, Public Safety, or a related field from an accredited institution
• Professional experience in unmanned aerial vehicle operations, FAA regulations, and emergency management applications
• Experience teaching adult learners in an online higher education environment is strongly preferred
• Ability to prepare teaching materials for diverse student backgrounds
