FAA Certified Senior QA Engineer

Job Summary

As a hands-on Senior QA Engineer, the full-time remote position will own the quality assurance processes for the Aerial Capture team, involving daily drone flights, test program management, and proactive bug reporting to ensure high standards before customer delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily drone flights for regression, acceptance, and validation testing
• Define and execute comprehensive test plans for new features and releases, identifying edge cases early
• Coordinate QA efforts by designing test programs and maintaining clear documentation to streamline processes

Required qualifications

• Access to 10+ acres for daily drone operations
• FAA Part 107 Certificate (required; can be obtained upon hiring)
• 4+ years of experience in QA/quality engineering for hardware or mobile products
• Strong coding/scripting skills in Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, or similar
• Experience with test case management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Qase, Jira)
