FAA Licensed Product Design Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the FAA Licensed Product Design Engineer will design, prototype, test, and refine mechanical systems for camera modules, ensuring reliable performance in demanding environments.

Key responsibilities

• Create 3D CAD models and production-ready 2D drawings for camera parts and assemblies
• Design and build prototypes to evaluate new concepts and mechanical architectures
• Plan and conduct laboratory testing, analyze results, and communicate findings through engineering reports

Required qualifications

• Master's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
• Proficiency in 3D CAD, with experience in CATIA strongly preferred
• Experience with rapid prototyping methods such as 3D printing and CNC machining
• Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, tolerance analysis, and common manufacturing processes
• Ability to document test methods, analyze data, and communicate conclusions clearly
