Job Summary
Providing oversight and surveillance of the Airworthiness Directive (AD) and Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) compliance process, the full-time remote FAA Licensed Quality Assurance Specialist will perform audits, coordinate with the FAA, and ensure compliance with aviation regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct AD/CFR related audits to verify compliance with Airworthiness Documents and Engineering Authorizations
- Coordinate with the FAA on AD-related questions and review Alternative Method of Compliance (AMOC) proposals
- Perform physical audits of aircraft and other audits as directed by management to ensure continued compliance
Required qualifications
- Undergraduate degree in a technical, safety, or aviation-related discipline or equivalent work experience
- FAA Airframe and/or Power-plant Certificate or equivalent aircraft maintenance/inspection experience
- A minimum of 7 years in heavy commercial aviation maintenance, inspection, engineering, or quality assurance
- In-depth knowledge of pertinent Code of Federal Regulations and Company Manuals/Requirements
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and the ability to learn Company IT Platforms
