FAA Licensed Staff Software Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Staff Software Engineer, AQNav.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test complex software systems for an AI/quantum-based magnetic navigation system
• Make software architectural decisions, including porting from Python to C++ for certification purposes
• Collaborate on development practices for FAA certification and military compliance

Required Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required due to government contract requirements
• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent field
• 10+ years of industry experience in software development
• Experience with certified avionics software systems (e.g., DO-178C)
• Strong expertise in C/C++ and Python, with experience in additional languages preferred
