Facilities Underwriting AVP

Job Summary

Reporting to the CUO, the remote AVP of Facilities Underwriting will manage underwriting processes and teams to write profitable business, support growth opportunities, and ensure underwriting integrity in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop underwriting guidelines, appetite guides, and related materials for Indigo's Facilities offering
• Support the production, selection, pricing, and servicing of insurance policies while maintaining a scalable underwriting process
• Analyze new business submissions, renewals, and policy changes, ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines and state regulations

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years as a Senior Underwriter in Facilities/Medical Professional Liability Insurance, with a total of 10+ years in underwriting
• Strong familiarity with facility types, rating methodologies, and high-risk indicators
• Good understanding of the Facilities segment, including top carriers and brokers
• Demonstrated ability to meet processing deadlines in accordance with Underwriting Service Standards
• Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements; production underwriting experience is a plus
