Facility Inpatient Coder

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Facility Inpatient Coder.

Key Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10 CM, ICD-10 PCS, and CPT codes based on health care record documentation
• Review and collect health information data elements for various purposes
• Maintain confidentiality of health information

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Health Information Technology, Coding, or equivalent program required
• Previous applicable experience is beneficial
• Coding accreditation and/or certification required within 18 months of hire
• Demonstrates motivation, organization, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work as a team with minimal supervision
