Facility Inpatient Coder

Job Summary

To support a growing healthcare team, the full-time Facility Inpatient Coder will assign ICD-10 CM, ICD-10 PCS, and CPT codes based on health care record documentation while working fully remote.

Key responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10 CM, ICD-10 PCS, and CPT codes based on health care record documentation
• Review and collect health information data elements for patient care, statistical, financial, and research purposes
• Maintain confidentiality of health information in compliance with professional coding standards and billing regulations

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Health Information Technology or Coding, or equivalent program with emphasis in coding
• Coding accreditation and/or certification in coding by a recognized professional organization required within 18 months of hire
• Previous applicable experience is beneficial
• Demonstrated motivation, organization, and attention to detail
• Ability to work as a team with minimal supervision
