Federal Budget Consultant

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time Federal Budget Consultant for a multi-year contract, this remote position will manage the implementation of the CFO Control Tower Budget and Spend solution (BAS) for a federal customer, focusing on documenting budgetary processes, communicating federal budget policies, and creating functional design documents.

Key responsibilities:

• Document and communicate budgetary processes and federal budget policies with the project team
• Create business requirements and functional design documents to support technical development of budgeting solutions
• Develop test plans and manage testing execution while conducting BAS solution demonstrations and presentations at all levels of a Federal Agency

Required qualifications:

• Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain it
• 5+ years of experience in federal budget activities, including budget formulation and execution
• Knowledge of budgetary regulations, systems integration, and reporting
• Expertise in civilian federal budgeting and implementation across ERP systems like SAP, Oracle, or Momentum
• Experience in business process analysis and functional design of financial budgeting and reporting solutions
