Job Summary
To support the growth of the organization, the full-time Compliance Engineer in the Public Sector will lead the technical roadmap for FedRAMP Continuous Monitoring, architect compliance solutions, and collaborate across teams to ensure adherence to federal and defense standards in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the technical roadmap for FedRAMP Continuous Monitoring, transitioning to an automated telemetry model
- Architect compliance outcomes by translating NIST 800-53 Rev. 5 and FedRAMP CR26 rulesets into engineering solutions
- Engineer frameworks for evidence generation to automate compliance validation and reduce manual efforts for assessments
Required qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in security engineering, DevOps, and systems engineering
- 4+ years of expertise in NIST SP 800-53, FedRAMP High baselines, and DoW SRG overlays
- Deep understanding of FR 20x and CR26 ruleset impacts on Cloud Service Providers
- Experience in cloud-native environments with DevSecOps technologies, including CI/CD and Kubernetes
- Strong proficiency in scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC), including Shell Scripting and Python
