Job Summary
Providing acquisition support services to the Federal Bureau of Prisons, the full-time remote Federal Contract Specialist will manage contract actions, conduct market research, and assist in the preparation of acquisition package documents.
Key responsibilities
- Work independently to provide advice and recommendations for acquisition plans and strategies
- Conduct market research to identify potential sources and contract vehicles, including socio-economic program participants
- Support the creation of solicitations, award documents, and modifications while ensuring proper documentation in the electronic filing system
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, or management
- 8 to 10 years of experience in contracting for Federal clients
- Demonstrated expertise in the full range of contract actions, including solicitations and negotiations
- Strong understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and contracting writing systems
