Federal Contracts Counsel

Job Summary

Owning public sector contracting and compliance, the full-time PubSec Counsel will provide strategic legal counsel and manage government contracts for U.S. Federal Government and defense-focused programs while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with sales and finance teams on contract negotiations and compliance efforts
• Review, draft, and negotiate various government contracts and bid documents
• Advise on federal regulations and develop compliance programs related to government contracting

Required qualifications

• Deep federal contracting expertise with hands-on experience in FAR, DFARS, and GSA schedules
• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one state
• Experience providing risk-based legal guidance in a fast-paced environment
• High emotional intelligence and collaborative skills to work effectively with diverse teams
• Self-direction and ability to manage workload independently while building processes from scratch
