Federal Design Manager

Job Summary

Leading the design execution process from project startup through final design and construction support, the full-time remote Federal Design Manager will integrate contract requirements, federal criteria, and multidisciplinary inputs into a coordinated delivery approach.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the design integration and readiness discipline while ensuring action visibility and evidence-based closure throughout the project lifecycle
• Collaborate with project leadership to validate technical direction, design basis, and quality expectations, addressing risks in engineering execution
• Manage design reviews, interdisciplinary checks, and quality assurance processes to ensure package readiness and compliance with contract requirements

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a closely related technical discipline
• Fifteen or more years of progressive experience in design, engineering, or project delivery with substantial responsibility for multidisciplinary coordination
• Demonstrated leadership in a senior design-management role on complex, regulated, or federal projects
• Experience supporting projects from startup through final design, construction support, and closeout
• Working knowledge of contract requirements, codes, and design basis control
