Federal Estimator

Job Summary

Supporting federal building project teams, the full-time remote Federal Estimator will lead estimating efforts by developing detailed cost estimates, ensuring federal compliance, and managing subcontractor coordination.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed and conceptual cost estimates for federal construction projects from planning through bidding
• Ensure compliance with federal cost coding standards, wage determinations, and procurement requirements
• Conduct risk and cost analysis to identify construction risks and recommend value engineering solutions

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of estimating experience, with at least 5 years on federal building projects
• Deep knowledge of federal procurement processes and compliance standards
• Proficiency with estimating software such as RSMeans, Sage Estimating, or WinEst
• Experience with scheduling tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project
• Strong understanding of UFC, ADA, ABA, and IBC codes
