Job Summary
Working from home, the full-time Federal Operations Technician will manage network operations, perform circuit and equipment restoration, and proactively resolve network issues while collaborating closely with federal government network operation centers.
Key responsibilities
- Perform circuit and equipment/network restoration, identifying potential jeopardy conditions
- Manage and test various circuit types, including T1 to 100Gb, Ethernet, and IP networks
- Analyze network troubles and performance data to develop optimization plans and ensure compliance with customer SLAs
Required qualifications
- Minimum of 5+ years' experience with SONET-based networks, next-generation DWDM systems, and related technologies
- Active/Current TS security clearance; TS/SCI preferred
- Associate degree in Engineering, Electronics, Software, or Networks, or equivalent experience
- Strong knowledge of DWDM Layer 1, Metro Ethernet, and IP communications
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple issues simultaneously and make sound decisions under pressure
