Job Summary
Leading the legislative and regulatory strategy for wholesale and retail energy markets, the full-time remote Federal Regulatory Affairs Director will advocate before federal agencies, anticipate regulatory changes, and communicate business impacts across the organization.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and execute advocacy strategies to advance commercial and regulatory interests before FERC, PJM, and federal agencies
- Build and maintain relationships with federal regulators, policymakers, and industry stakeholders
- Represent the organization in stakeholder meetings, regulatory proceedings, and industry working groups
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in relevant fields preferred
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in legislative or regulatory affairs, or 5 years with a JD and relevant experience
- Strong understanding of FERC jurisdiction and wholesale electricity markets
- Proven ability to analyze regulatory proceedings and draft policy documents
- Existing relationships with federal regulators and industry stakeholders are highly desirable
