Job Summary
To support disaster recovery efforts, the FEMA Disaster Recovery Project Manager will provide strategic planning services, oversee a multi-disciplinary team, and act as a subject matter expert on FEMA programs, with potential for remote work and client travel.
Key responsibilities:
- Serve as a disaster recovery expert, guiding local governments through long-term recovery processes from natural disasters
- Leverage knowledge of the FEMA Public Assistance Program to address complex recovery needs and issues
- Maintain project management best practices, ensuring high-quality deliverables and client visibility on all efforts
Required qualifications:
- Prior experience supporting local governments with federal disaster grant programs from disaster onset to closeout
- A minimum of four years of experience in the FEMA Public Assistance Program, including Permanent Work (Categories C-G)
- Demonstrated experience managing complex projects and multi-disciplinary teams
- Strong written communication skills for creating nuanced policy recommendation documents
- A bachelor's degree
