FHA and VA Licensed Mortgage Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Mortgage Loan Underwriter.

Key Responsibilities

• Review loan application packages and evaluate borrower qualifications and financial obligations
• Analyze loan terms and ensure compliance with program guidelines and company standards
• Notify relevant parties of loan decisions and maintain knowledge of loan products and regulations

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of Residential Mortgage Underwriting experience
• Current FHA CHUMS Direct Endorsement and VA LAPP/SAR certifications
• Ability to underwrite approximately 45 loans per month
• Strong understanding of secondary market guidelines and mortgage process flow
• Self-starter with excellent organizational skills
