FHA and VA Licensed Underwriter

Job Summary

To ensure compliance and quality in mortgage underwriting, the full-time remote Mortgage Underwriting Quality Control Analyst will conduct internal audits, evaluate loan accuracy, and communicate findings to management while holding active FHA and VA certifications.

Key responsibilities:

• Evaluate loans monthly for accuracy and compliance with Bank standards
• Perform pre-funding and post-funding Quality Control reviews, including guideline assessments and re-verification of loan files
• Conduct special audits and identify potential fraud or misrepresentation

Required qualifications:

• Active FHA Direct Endorsement (DE) Certification
• Active VA LAPP/SAR Certification
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in mortgage underwriting
• Associate's degree or a combined minimum of 6 years' higher education and/or work experience
• Working knowledge of agency guidelines and proficiency in Allregs, Microsoft Excel, and Word
