FHA Claims Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Default FHA MI Claims Specialist I.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file FHA claims for assigned loan types in a timely and accurate manner
• Document systems with appropriate tasking and comments, ensuring all required documentation is included in the Claim File
• Submit claims for quality review, finalize submissions, and follow up for payment as necessary

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma required; some college preferred
• One (1) or more years of mortgage servicing default experience preferred
• Moderate knowledge of default claims processes for insurers and investors
• Understanding of default servicing processes, including Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, and Loss Mitigation
• Moderate understanding of Agency and investor guidelines
