FHA DE Mortgage Underwriter

Job Summary

To support a rapidly growing technology-driven mortgage lender, the full-time FHA DE Mortgage Underwriter will primarily decision FHA and Conforming loans while leveraging AI tools to streamline workflows in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Decide on FHA and Conforming loans, with opportunities to handle VA, USDA, and Bond/Grant programs
• Serve as a strategic resource for Loan Officers and Processors in structuring complex files
• Maintain high-quality standards and fast turn times using automated workflows

Required qualifications

• Active CHUMS ID (FHA DE) is required
• 5+ years of recent mortgage underwriting experience in the residential mortgage space
• Mastery of AUS systems (DU/LPA) and proficiency in Encompass LOS
• Ability to thrive in a fully remote environment with high autonomy
