Job Summary
A company is looking for a Mortgage Underwriter to analyze and evaluate residential loan applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and evaluate residential loan applications in accordance with industry standards
- Gather, analyze, and interpret credit information to maximize credit and minimize risk
- Approve or deny loans within set limits and make credit structure decisions
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Five or more years of mortgage underwriting experience
- Advanced understanding of factors affecting real estate values and credit analysis
- Experience with FHA, VA, HUD, Portfolio/Non-QM, and Jumbo loans
- FHA Direct Endorsement Underwriting designation preferred
