FHA Licensed Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Level II Underwriter to be responsible for the underwriting of loans in accordance with company and investor guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Timely underwriting of loan credit packages and appraisals for compliance with investor and government agency guidelines
• Contact private investors and government agencies to resolve issues or questions related to loan files
• Review and analyze income from personal and corporate tax returns

Required Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in conventional front-line underwriting
• FHA Direct Endorsement certification
• Pass a pre-hire assessment
• Complete new hire training, including underwriting test cases and second level review of live loans
• Knowledge of various investor guidelines and requirements
