FHA/VA Licensed Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Government Underwriter (FHA/VA) East Coast.

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite FHA and VA loans and various other loan types including Conventional, Bond, USDA, Jumbo, Non-QM, Renovation, and Construction
• Communicate regularly with Loan Officers and Processors regarding loan status and maintain current knowledge on products
• Assist with training needs of other mortgage positions and perform ad hoc reporting

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of five (5) years of specific government underwriting experience
• Must possess valid CHUMS and LAPP/SAR designations for FHA and VA loans
• Recent experience underwriting Conventional loans
• Experience with USDA, Bond, and 203K loans is highly preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of DU and LP input and ability to interpret findings
