FHA/VA Licensed Underwriter

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Underwriter III.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze loan submissions to make final underwriting determinations
• Collaborate with Lending Teams to find solutions for difficult loan files
• Provide training and support to team members and assist in the orientation of new personnel

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; 4-year college degree preferred
• 5+ years of underwriting experience with conforming and non-conforming loans
• Experience in the mortgage banking industry with Jumbo Loans and/or Government Products is a plus
• FHA and/or VA Designations required
• Technical experience with underwriting software and systems is necessary
