FHA VA Licensed Underwriter

Job Summary

Seeking experienced Government Mortgage Underwriters with active FHA (DE) and VA (SAR/LAPP) designations, the full-time position will underwrite FHA and VA loans, maintain production levels, and communicate with Loan Officers, all while adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Underwrite FHA and VA loans while maintaining active government designations
• Review and process additional loan products, ensuring compliance with guidelines
• Maintain accurate documentation and logs of loan progress using technology platforms

Required qualifications

• Minimum of five years of recent government underwriting experience
• Active and valid CHUMS and LAPP/SAR credentials required
• Recent experience underwriting Conventional loans is mandatory
• Proficiency with DU and LP systems, including data input and documentation
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email systems
