FHA VA Underwriter Team Lead

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Government Mortgage Underwriter Team Lead.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the daily operations of the underwriting department and ensure compliance with standards
• Partner with the Underwriting Manager to train and motivate staff while managing schedules and workflow
• Perform underwriting duties and resolve escalated issues from underwriting staff

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-7 years of retail underwriting experience with all loan products
• Current FHA/VA underwriting certification
• Advanced knowledge of mortgage lending processes and underwriting requirements
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate others
