FHA & VA Underwriting Manager

Job Summary

A company is looking for a VP & Residential Underwriting Manager - Mortgage Underwriting.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor daily workflow of residential loan files to meet service level agreements
• Establish and maintain underwriting policies, procedures, and guidelines while making sound underwriting decisions
• Oversee the quality, compliance, and performance of the underwriting staff, assisting with complex inquiries

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

• Bachelor's degree preferred or a minimum of 10 years related residential underwriting experience
• Previous management experience is required
• FHA DE, VA SAR/LAPP designations preferred
• Current knowledge of RESPA regulations and strong knowledge of FNMA/FHLMC, FHA, VA, USDA programs
• Ten years of experience with Automated Underwriting Systems (AUS) is required
