FHIR Integration Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a FHIR Integration Engineer - Epic EMR/EHR (Inbound Data Mapping).

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain FHIR-based interfaces for exchanging healthcare data with Epic and other EHRs
• Work on Epic inbound data workflows, mapping external clinical and administrative data to Epic data models
• Collaborate with integration teams to design and implement solutions aligned with HL7 FHIR standards and regulatory requirements

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in healthcare integration, particularly with FHIR APIs and EHR/EMR systems
• Strong hands-on experience with Epic EHR, including Epic data mapping (especially inbound data)
• Solid understanding of FHIR R4, RESTful APIs, HL7 v2, and other healthcare standards
• Experience with data ingestion pipelines, data normalization, and structured clinical data formats
• Familiarity with healthcare interoperability platforms and tools (e.g., Mirth, InterSystems, Redox, or HealthShare)
