Fiber Designer
Job Summary
To support the integrity and documentation of network infrastructure, the full-time remote Fiber Designer will design complex fiber optic splicing plans, maintain network data accuracy, and collaborate with project managers and contractors.
Key responsibilities
- Manage network inventory by reviewing construction documents and conducting quality assurance audits on data integrity
- Design detailed engineering plans for fiber optic splicing based on customer specifications
- Coordinate projects by utilizing network inventory data and collaborating with project managers and construction vendors
Required qualifications
- 2+ years of telecommunications experience with knowledge of engineering drawings and fiber optic materials
- Bachelor's Degree or higher
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications
- Experience with fiber optic network inventory systems and GIS applications such as AutoCAD or QGIS
- Strong analytical abilities and professional communication skills
