Fiber Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Market Fiber Engineer responsible for designing and managing fiber paths across the network.

Key Responsibilities

• Designs routes for fiber-based services including Point to Point and Ring configurations
• Maintains and updates the fiber plant database and inventory management system
• Interfaces with various engineering teams and stakeholders to validate project specifications and timelines

Required Qualifications

• Four-year college degree in Engineering or equivalent Telecom Network experience
• Minimum of three years of fiber design experience, including high volume site deliveries
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Visio and Excel; knowledge of Salesforce.com is a plus
• Experience with telecom and fiber plant installation, and knowledge of GIS-based platforms
• Must have experience using Google Earth for creating and interpreting KMZ files
