Fiber Engineer
Job Summary
Designing fiber paths across the network, the full-time Fiber Engineer will manage inventory through database tracking of fiber assets and collaborate with various teams while working remotely within the United States.
Key responsibilities
- Design routes for fiber-based services, including point-to-point and ring configurations
- Research existing databases and records for network design and fiber optimization
- Ensure the accuracy of the fiber optic database and inventory management system
Required qualifications
- 4-Year College Degree in Engineering or equivalent Telecom Network Experience
- Minimum of five years of fiber design experience, including ring configurations and FTT projects
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Visio; knowledge of Salesforce.com and GIS platforms is a plus
- Basic knowledge of Fiber Network Design preferred
- Work experience within the Telecom Industry preferred
