Fiber Management Lead

Job Summary

Leading the implementation of GIS-driven solutions, the full-time remote Fiber Management Lead will oversee fiber network design data integration, manage project workflows, and mentor GIS staff while collaborating with engineering and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the implementation and optimization of enterprise GIS solutions, including data integration and validation
• Drive data integration, QA/QC, and system configuration efforts, developing ETL workflows using tools such as FME and Python
• Lead system enhancements and automation initiatives, ensuring alignment with business needs and mentoring GIS staff

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in GIS, Geography, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum of 5 years of GIS experience, with at least 3 years in fiber or telecommunications
• At least 2 years of project management or leadership experience
• Proficiency with Esri platforms (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise)
• Experience with fiber management systems (e.g., 3-GIS, Vetro, Mapcom, or similar)
