Fiber Monitoring Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Fiber Monitoring Engineer to design and manage fiber paths for fiber-based services.

Key Responsibilities

• Designs routes for fiber-based services including Point to Point, Ring, and path diverse routing
• Researches existing databases for network design and fiber optimization
• Maintains the fiber plant database and inventory management system to ensure accuracy

Required Qualifications

• Four-year college degree in Engineering or equivalent Telecom Network experience required
• Minimum of three years of fiber design experience, including ring configurations and FTT projects
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly MS Visio and Excel; Salesforce knowledge is a plus
• Prior experience in telecom and fiber plant installation is necessary
• Knowledge of GIS-based platforms and fiber inventory systems, with GE Smallworld experience preferred
