Fiber Network Inventory Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Fiber Network Inventory Specialist (FNIS).

Key Responsibilities:

• Recover and interpret civil engineering prints to build fiber assets into GIS inventory systems
• Assist with data cleanup and quality control in fiber inventory systems
• Manage network inventory through database tracking of fiber optic cable and related data

Required Qualifications:

• Degree or background in engineering, GIS, Telecom, or related field preferred
• Interest in telecommunications and fiber optics
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Visio and MS Excel
• Experience with GE Smallworld or other fiber inventory systems is preferred
