Fiber Networks Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Fiber Networks Specialist for a remote contract position.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and manage the Fiber Optic Network and related projects
• Coordinate with departments and contractors to develop project requirements, costs, and schedules
• Conduct field site visits and ensure documentation is complete and up to date

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of direct outside fiber experience
• Experience in the electric distribution or transmission industry, fiber engineering, or cable service provider
• Knowledge of fiber installation in various environments and familiarity with ADSS and OPGW fiber cable
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience with drawing/document storage tools
• Understanding of OSHA, NESC, and installation standards for fiber in power spaces
