Field Application Engineer

Job Summary

Engaging directly with consumer electronics customers, the full-time Field Application Engineer will provide technical support, drive design win activities, and develop expertise in ESD protection and capacitive/force sensing applications in a hybrid work environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Build strong relationships with customer engineering teams and support them through device selection and design-in best practices
• Take ownership of design win activities, proposing system-level solutions and collaborating with the sales team to accelerate timelines
• Conduct competitive analysis and create technical content to demonstrate Semtech's application expertise in ESD protection and sensing products

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or other relevant engineering disciplines
• 3-5 years of experience in field applications, applications engineering, or related roles within the semiconductor industry
• Experience supporting customers through design-in cycles
• Familiarity with ESD protection and analog mixed-signal ICs
• Prior exposure to consumer electronics platforms such as smartphones and wearables
