Finance & Accounting Lead

Job Summary

To support a rapidly expanding travel fintech and SaaS company, the full-time Finance & Accounting Lead will manage the restructuring of the P&L, set revenue recognition policies, and oversee the month-end close process in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Restructure the P&L to accurately reflect business operations and unit economics
• Establish and implement revenue recognition policies across all business verticals
• Oversee the month-end close process and manage financial burn categorization

Required qualifications

• Extensive accounting expertise with experience in technical accounting and revenue recognition
• Experience as an early accounting hire, responsible for building financial functions from the ground up
• Proficient in payments and marketplace accounting, including managing held funds and chargebacks
• Ability to write requirements for engineering teams regarding accounting needs
• Demonstrated ownership of month-end close processes and financial reporting
