Finance and Automation Manager

Job Summary

To support US Eastern Time working hours, the full-time Finance and Automation Manager will own day-to-day accounting functions, manage a small team, and build internal finance tools while working remotely as an independent contractor.

Key responsibilities

• Own financials, month-end close, ad-hoc reports, cash flow, and budgeting processes
• Manage, coach, and develop an accounting team while balancing hands-on ownership with delegation
• Build and ship internal finance tooling, including dashboards and automations, using AI coding tools

Required qualifications

• Strong technical accounting experience in ledgers, month-end close, tax, accounts payable, and payroll
• Proven leadership skills managing and developing a small team
• Demonstrated ability to independently build and ship finance tools and automations using AI coding tools
• Experience with US accounting practices and exposure to US-based companies
• Fluent written and spoken English, with experience in global, culturally diverse teams
