Finance and Operations Director

Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing all budget and financial operations for Main Campus Administrative Units, the full-time remote Finance and Operations Director will manage annual budget activities, monitor financial performance, and collaborate with various university departments to ensure effective financial management.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the development and forecasting of annual budgets exceeding $70M, ensuring alignment with financial goals
• Oversee financial operations and year-end close activities, providing guidance on HCM transactions and restricted funds
• Collaborate with unit heads and other departments to support operational and strategic planning initiatives

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in economics, finance, business, or accounting strongly preferred
• 10+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis and budgeting within a complex office environment
• Proven ability to build financial reports and manage budgets of $70M or more
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and collaborating across departments
• Proficiency in financial systems, particularly Workday and Adaptive, along with advanced Excel skills
