Finance Consultant

Job Summary

Providing strategic and hands-on support across key finance functions in a commercialization environment, the contract Finance Consultant will work remotely to lead finance transformation initiatives, particularly in clinical or commercial-stage biotech or specialty pharma.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee general accounting functions, including month-end close and financial reporting
• Manage revenue recognition processes and coordination with third-party GTN providers
• Support ERP system selection and optimization, focusing on finance transformation and reporting infrastructure

Required qualifications:

• Proven experience as a CFO, VP of Finance, Controller, or FP&A leader
• Expertise in biotech or specialty pharma, particularly in clinical-to-commercial transitions
• Strong knowledge of revenue recognition, GTN processes, and cost accounting
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite or SAP
• Background in venture-backed or high-growth biotech companies, ideally scaling organizations from 50 to 500 employees
