Finance Director

Job Summary

Ensuring compliance and effectiveness in accounting and reporting functions, the full-time remote Finance Director will manage fiscal operations, including revenue recognition, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and audit processes, while collaborating with various departments to uphold organizational integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Direct the general accounting function and oversee financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP
• Assist in developing policies and procedures, managing audits, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards across the organization
• Lead financial operations, enhancing departmental processes, and providing training and support to the accounting team

Required qualifications

• A degree in accounting or a related field is highly preferred, or equivalent work experience
• A minimum of 8 years of accounting experience, with nonprofit accounting experience preferred
• 4-6 years of direct supervisory experience
• Expertise in Intacct - Sage software and advanced knowledge of GAAP
• Experience with federal grants reporting and regulations
