Finance Manager

Job Summary

Seeking a Finance & Business Manager / Director of Finance, the full-time position will oversee financial activities and processes for Business Services, primarily supporting the UVA Bookstore and ensuring compliance with University policies while managing staff and enhancing operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise staff and oversee daily business office services in compliance with University policies
• Coordinate implementation of financial policies and operational improvements to enhance performance
• Gather, analyze, and report financial data to support strategic planning and decision-making

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• Five years of relevant professional experience for Manager level; six years with two years of managerial experience for Director level
• Experience in financial operations and reporting, preferably in a higher education setting
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
• Proven ability to manage and develop staff effectively
