Finance Operations Specialist

Job Summary

To manage the full order-to-cash cycle for Newsletter Sponsorships, the part-time contract Finance Operations Specialist will handle invoicing, collections, creator payouts, and month-end closing processes in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the invoicing cycle and creator payout processes, ensuring timely collections and accurate record-keeping
• Manage month-end close activities, maintaining accurate accounts receivable aging and reconciling financial records
• Collaborate with finance and engineering teams to streamline processes and enhance automation efforts

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in finance or accounting operations with a focus on accounts receivable and collections
• Proven month-end close experience with strict deadlines
• Hands-on experience with payment platforms like Stripe or similar
• Intermediate understanding of accounting principles related to accounts receivable and payable
• Experience working with engineering teams on finance tooling or process automation is a plus
